The study calculates a ratio which is based on complaints originating in California, the most populous state. According to the study, Esurance has received a total of 14 justified complaints.
With of 263,523 policyholders, the company has a justified complaint ratio of 5.3 per 100,000 policies. Liberty Mutual has a ratio of 14.4, with 379,678 policyholders and 55 justified complaints.
